Our storage unit is directly under the last and lowest stretch of the approach path for Peachtree-Dekalb Airport, and on my last trip there, I grabbed these shots (this Big Guy was just passin’ through on the way to Dobbins AFB).
I knew when I posted this picture that I’d draw you out. But I had no idea it was one of yours.
I can’t read the tail number, but it was probably one of our depot birds.
You can tell it’s Travis (Blue AMU) from the tail flash. Dover has a solid yellow line (heh) while Travis has that goofy 3-Plane thing in the front and either a blue or gold flash extending back along the rudder (blue and gold representing the two Aircraft Maintenance Units or “AMU’s”).
