After using a microscope in a job, I did some “parts shots” for fun.
This was done with two studio strobe lights, several reflective silver cards to place more highlights in the elements, and an extremely expensive blue tissue paper background.
I haven’t been around science equipment since college, and this microscope looked quite different than they used to.

Very nice. I love the lighting and sharpness. Were you using any studio lights or is this natural light?
Both of my parents are microbiologists and it reminds me I should take more shots like this :)
