“No news conferences? Interviews now only with friendly journalists? You can’t be president or vice president and govern in that style, as a sequestered figure. This has been Mr. Bush’s style the past few years, and see where it got us. You must address America in its entirety, not as a sliver or a series of slivers but as a full and whole entity, a great nation trying to hold together. When you don’t, when you play only to your little piece, you contribute to its fracturing.” Peggy Noonan

Ms. Noonan, I think, was at first like at lot of Republicans … hopeful Palin would make a difference in the race. Unlike some, though, Noonan seems to have quickly recognized the “difference” Palin makes is not a positive one.
I expect that in 2012, we will likely see Palin run for the nomination, and she will be shredded … by those in her own party in the primaries.

Seems like just the other week that Ms Noonan was waxing poetic about how brilliant Ms Palin was in her debate with Mr Biden. Well, the tide has gone out on Ms Palin. When even Peggy Noonan questions your conservative bone fides, you must really suck!
I completely agree with the title of Christopher Hitchens’ article in Slate yesterday, Speak Up! Stop covering Palin until she gives a press conference. Seriously, if Ms Palin cannot answer a few questions between performances, I say stop covering her show. We can always trust that Fox “News” will tell us if she comes up with something new to say, right?
