And, I'm Gone...
About 36 hours after finally finding time to post “I’m Back,” I’m preparing to head back (I told you not to look up). My Dad’s condition has worsened, is not improving, and there’s to be a consultation with the doctors on Monday. This back and forth is likely to continue for a bit.
However, if you need a ray of sunshine that can burn off any dark cloud, try this. Or this. Visits with Princess Caroli have bookended my trips, and have helped make all this bearable.
Later, 12:35am EST: My father passed away quietly at 10:27pm CST, 3/19/2006, with my Mom and I there with him until the end. Rest in peace, Dad.
