Merci Macromedia
I woke up today, walked into the living room, and proceeded to laugh non-stop for about five minutes. Quite literally.
On my desk was a box with a note on top from Susan that said: “Bitch and Ye Shall Receive.” The box was from Macromedia, delivered overnight and at my door at 8:30am, one would assume as a result of my little rant yesterday about the missing manual.
Wow, I thought, someone at Macromedia really went the extra mile to take care of me. So I opened the box, and indeed, inside there was a manual for Studio 8.
It’s in French.
My sides are still hurting. Whoever sent this, I give you a genuine A for effort and care. But I also have to give you either a C for “execution,” or an A+ for humor.
I guess I’ll never know which. But I rarely start the day in such a good mood over getting the wrong thing. For now, I’m off to Babelfish to translate my “Studio Huit” manual.

That’s freaking genius.
I’m not so sure I would have taken it quite so well, but as a practicing a-hole, I have to admire this maneuver for the uber a-hole-ish-ness.
(Does it anger you that Teh Froggies get a manual and you don’t? heh, heh)
... uh, okay, let me get this URL logged too, then… pourquoi français, je ne comprends pas, ne comprends pas…. ;-)

Well, John, if you’ve got a French customer in need, I’ll be happy to forward this on to them. I’ve gotten whatever entertainment I’m going to get out of it.
I highly advise starting each day with five minutes of solid laughter. It’s worked pretty well for me today.
