Bad Meme, Go Away!

There’s an odd little meme running around … about me (emphasis on “little”).

I think it got started when Dean said “...an attorney who helped act as a go-between for us when this first began, who has withdrawn because this has gone beyond his expertise, tells the story from his perspective…”

This morning at the Command Post, I read “Atlanta lawyer Reid ‘Photodude’ Stott has the full rundown on what happened…”

Over at Winds of Change, they’re saying the same thing: “Atlanta lawyer Reid ‘Photodude’ Stott has the full rundown…”

Let’s Squash This: I Am Not A Lawyer. I have never attended law school, nor did I stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. I have never attempted to present myself as a lawyer. In the heat of an argument as a child, my grandmother once said in frustration that I was going to grow up and be a lawyer … but that’s as close as I got.

I’m not sure how the confusion began. Perhaps it was because I said, “when I show up in a suit (with the ACLU Lawyer Ponytail accessory), I can look pretty scary.”

But if you need confirmation of what I do for a living, the domain name is a good hint, and the “professional” link at the top of each page will spill all the beans.
