Lowe Support
Lowe Support – It appears Arnold’s campaign has hired Rob Lowe as a political consultant. Jeff Jarvis notes, “Arnold: Rob merely played a political adviser on TV. He read the lines. He didn’t think them. You’re trying to run a state, not cast a movie.”
I see Jeff’s point, but I’m not sure it’s totally fair. After all, as the Reuters article points out, “In real life, Lowe has long been active in Democratic Party circles, supporting the failed 1988 presidential bid of then-Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis. Attending the Democratic National Convention that year in Atlanta, Lowe videotaped himself cavorting with two young women, one of whom turned out to be under age, in a hotel room.”
Perhaps he can provide the same kind of winning support for Arnold that he did for Dukakis.
