Exposing How the Rock and Roll Sausage is Made – Doctor Frank is giving us regular updates and anecdotes from his current recording experience. It’s quite interesting when most of us have a rather abstract concept of how “music is made.” Shockingly, it appears that it costs actual money to make music. Who’da-thunk-it? In addition, it also seems to require back-to-back days of long hours and considerable thought … not just a case of PBR, a couple of groupies, and a fun night playing in front of a few mikes, all resulting in buckets of gravy.
Sometimes, it’s hard to even talk about it: “Describing a sound or a ‘feel’ in words is, as far as I can see, impossible [...] For us, though, it’s mostly a case of the inarticulate leading the indecisive on a quest to verbalize the inexpressible…”
