Eric Rudolph's Fan Club
Eric Rudolph’s Fan Club – I don’t normally single out comments like this, but someone calling themselves “BigD” made one I think it is quite deserving:
“Eric Rudolph is a brave man that did what he thought was right. And me and thousands of other people love him for that.”
How proud you must be to support the murderer of innocents. Perhaps you’d like to stand in front of this child, and tell her you believe Eric Rudolph did the right thing when he deprived her of her mother’s care from the age of 13 on.
All Alice Hawthorne did was go to the park. She didn’t seek an abortion, she wasn’t gay or Jewish. She was just … at … the … park.
Yet your “brave man” left a backpack bomb … and then ran away like the coward he is. He didn’t care who he killed. He hoped to kill a lot more. Whites, blacks, Democrats, Republicans, pro-lifers … those thousands of nails tore flesh of all kinds, without regard to political or sexual orientation.
Yet you are proud of the murderer, and support his actions? I suppose you are also proud of another murderer of innocents, who is also very certain that his beliefs allow him to kill women or children to advance his cause. Because he thinks it’s right. And thousands of people love him for that.
His name is Osama bin Laden. Do you love him, too?
A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist. Thank you for making it clear on whose side you stand. It clearly isn’t the side of your fellow Americans. Like Alice Hawthorne and her family.
And I have the same two words for you that I did on July 27, 1996: “Cowardly Scum.”

Watching Fallon tell her story to CNN last night was heartbreaking. Don't put me in the same room as “BigD”.
SEEMS TO ME THAT NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU THAT ARE SPOUTING OFF YOUR LITTLE DO GOODER COMMENTS AND DO NOT EVEN K NOW THE MAN YOU ARE SO QUICK TO ACCUSE. STOP - TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK A FEW FACTS - HE IS FAR FROM SCUM AND LAST TIME I CHECKED THIS IS STILL AMERICA - INNOCENT UNTILL "PROVEN" GUILTY. IN ALL YOUR ARTICLE I NEVER SAW THAT YOU MENTONED THAT. ALL I SAW WERE WORDS LIKE SCUM AND LEFT BACKPACK AND RAN AWAY AND HE KILLED. YOU DONT KNOW THAT HE DID IT AT ALL, "SCUM LIKE YOU IS EXACTLY THE REASON PEOPLE IN AMERCICA THESE DAYS CANNOT GET A FAIR TRAIL !!!!!
You want me to stop and take the time to check a few facts? I have: “But lets put on the Objectivity Hat, for just a moment. It's possible that a reclusive survivalist living in Murphy, North Carolina, just happened to be 200 miles away in Birmingham, Alabama, at the very instant a bomb went off there, and that's why a witness saw someone who looked an awful lot like Rudolph leaving the scene, then get into a truck with Rudolph's license plates. It's also possible that someone else was using Rudolph's truck, and his storage locker where they found evidence forensically linked to the bombs, set off four bombs in less than a year, and then went completely silent for 6 years, years which just happen to coincide with the disappearance of Eric Rudolph.” “It's possible. But beyond a reasonable doubt? Well, I'm certainly willing to leave that to a jury. To me, it defies logic. Perhaps it just defies my personal logic, just as do those who publicly defend Rudolph's ‘alleged’ actions. I find that beyond the pale, beyond human decency. Infuriating.” I still do. And it's even worse when it's in all caps.
