Turkish press rages at Kurds and US
Turkish press rages at Kurds and US – “The Turkish press is furious about the entry of Kurdish troops into the cities of Kirkuk in northern Iraq [...] The mass-selling newspaper Hurriyet also complains that US forces should have stopped the Kurds from entering Kirkuk.”
US Forces? Are they saying it would be nice if there was a US infantry division in Northern Iraq to quell this disturbance, rather than the spotty forces we’ve been able to airlift there? Gosh, why didn’t we put a division up there in the north? Why, they could have come right out of Turkey…
....oops. I forgot. So did the Turkish media, apparently.
