McKinney Blames D-E-M-S
McKinney Blames D-E-M-S – First, Billy McKinney blamed the J-E-W-S for his daughter’s election problems, then her campaign’s post-mortems focused on blaming the Republicans who crossed over to vote for Majette. When Billy McKinney himself lost a runoff after 30 years in office, he blamed "black folks" who "did not turn out for me. They wanted a Klansman, a son of the Confederacy."
Now, "U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-Ga.) on Thursday blamed the Democratic Party for the losses she and her father suffered at the polls, fueling speculation that she may leave the party. ‘The Democratic Party cost my father his office,’ McKinney said, referring to state Rep. Billy McKinney’s defeat in the Tuesday Democratic primary runoff against political neophyte John Noel."
She then went on to accuse Governor Roy Barnes of helping her opponent, and went so far as to call the Governor on election night to say, “You need to get your staffers out of my opponent’s headquarters.” Power mad to the end.
And speaking of which, about yesterday’s report she may run for President on the Green Party ticket? "McKinney hasn’t commented on the report. But Tuesday night, as polling in the runoff vote showed he would lose his re-election bid, her father said he would leave the Democratic Party and take his daughter with him."
To sum up, Ms. McKinney and her father blame their defeats on Republicans, Democrats, J-E-W-S, black folks, Klansmen, and the Governor of Georgia. One has to wonder exactly who their target voter is, as their Victim’s List of Blame appears to contain 99.8% of the state.
It is indeed hard to win an election when everyone is against you. Funny how democracy works that way. Ah, well, soon the McKinney’s will have plenty of spare time, and maybe they’ll get around to pondering, “why do they hate us?”
