Some Companies Get It
Some Companies Get It – "This is not the only blog about Macromedia from the folks at Macromedia. All the Community Managers here have set up blogs for the products that we represent [...] John Dowdell’s ”JD on MX” blog: http://jdmx.blogspot.com/ (all products), Vernon Viehe’s ”Vern on MX” blog: http://vvmx.blogspot.com/ (mostly CFMX), Mike Chambers’ ”mesh on MX” blog: http://radio.weblogs.com/0106797/ (mostly FMX), Bob Tartar’s ”My Director Notes” blog: http://btartar.blogspot.com/ (not much on MX yet, but general Director info)
So why blogs for everyone?
Great question. This is mostly JD’s [John Dowdell] idea. Some of us had experimented with blogs before, but we thought for this release this was a great idea for all of us to try and work on similar things together. The idea is that we can get information back to the community more rapidly than a lot of other channels. We do a lot of that anyway, but we do that mostly on a 1-1 basis or spread through a lot of other venues. This way we can bring in the important info to one place and get that out to people."

Thank you for your MX blog links. For once I got something useful from a warblogger. The perpetual arab bashing is so tiring.
Thanks for the quote. :-) I think we get it too, but I am slightly prejudiced. Love the pics. Is this a "G" model? Confederate Airforce? Never seen one myself.
Thanks for stopping by, Matt. Happy to spread the word. Doing this with the MX releases was a great idea. There's so much new info, it's nice to be able to find it without having to wade through a half dozen news forums. But I must say, you've brought great woe to my 350 mhz PII. I like the MX products I've been able to get running, but my 'puter ain't too pleased. And, yes, that is a B-17G. It's touring the country under the auspices of the EAA Aviation Foundation. http://www.b17.org/. I've got eight more shots of it up I'll put up over the next few days.

I'm familiar with John Dowdell from a GoLive mailing list where he was a fairly frequent poster. Some people there did criticize him for what they saw as gratuitous promotion of Macromedia products; but overall I found the depth and and breadth of his technical knowledge was astounding, and he generally explains things very clearly. I will definitely be checking his blog for MX information.
