Look in your VCR, is there a movie? No, but Sling Blade and Blue Velvet are on the shelf right below it.

If there happens to be music playing right now, what is it? Just a song running through my head incessantly lately: ”Mr. Soul,” sometimes the Buffalo Springfield version, sometimes the techno Neil Young version from ”Trans.” It helps drown out the voices in there.

What are you wearing? Black jeans, black t-shirt, a lot of cat hair.

Look down, what’s the first thing that catches your eye? Two white Mountain Dew bottle caps.

Turn on your TV if it’s not on already, what network is it? ABC (I do not control the remote in this household, and even if I did, since the cable company jumbled our channels thoroughly, I can’t find a damn thing anymore)

Look out the window, what’s the weather like? Sunny, hazy, hot and humid. Hey, it’s Atlanta in August, what do you expect?

If you were to hit redial on your phone right now, where would it call? My sister.

Say ”hello?” out loud, did anyone answer? One strange look from a cat, but no verbal response.

What are you planning on doing next as soon as you get offline? I have DSL. I’m never offline. And lately, certain projects have kept me at this monitor too much. But I’m going out to dinner tonight, if that’s what you mean.
