Montezuma's Treasure
Montezuma’s Treasure – I was surfing about the other night, daydreaming about a much needed vacation out west, when I stumbled across this interesting tale: ”Legend has it that when the Aztec king, Montezuma was killed by his own people in Mexico in the 1500’s, and the spanish Conquistadors were driven from Tenotchitlan, the Aztecs took their treasure and hid it from the Spaniards. That was 400 years ago.”
Many have looked for that loot in this century, obviously with no success. But there’s one place they think it might be that they can’t look; in an underwater cave in South Utah. ”The divers got 70 feet back in the tunnel. Their sonar equipment showed the tunnel was 100 feet long and ended in a room 80 feet in diameter. Detectors registered heavy metal at the end of the tunnel. It was late, so they quit for the day …. Russ was the first to go down the next morning. At a certain point in the tunnel, he started screaming that someone was grabbing and choking him. As he was pulled from the water he appeared white as a sheet. Another diver went down and had the same experience. The divers left and returned in two weeks. They experienced the same choking sensation in the tunnel and had to be pulled up. The diving crew did not dive in the lake anymore.”
That certainly adds to the daydreaming….

You people out west need to stop making these offhand remarks about me coming on out there. You may live to regret it, because right now, it wouldn't take much of a nudge to make me slide.
it makes no sense wh;y some one would hide money and eaven if they did that was 400 years ago and i dont think that that much mony could be hidden and it could be 2 gold pieces for all we know

They're still looking for the Lost Dutchman mine here in Arizona, Reid. Come on out!
